“The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.” ― Isaac Asimov
When we walk it allows our thoughts to surface and we can mull over them and reach an understanding or develop wisdom. In our fast-paced world, we are constantly engaged and often in more than one thing at a time. Walking alone is essential for our mental health. If you can walk in the countryside or in a natural landscape, you will soak up endorphins and gain the oxygen gifted to you from the trees. If you live in the city you can still find spaces to walk, I walk through the leafy old parts of town that still have large gardens. Feast on the scents, colours, shapes and textures of the plants visible over garden walls.
Map out some walking routes near you, I have routes for windy days, routes for rain, routes for when the lime trees are in flower. There are few things nicer than the scent of lime trees.
